About Me

I’m Stella, the traveler behind this blog. My journey into travel wasn’t a straight path. I’ve worn many hats—student, professional, dreamer—but the one that has always fit me best is that of a traveler.

Originally from London, England, I was bitten by the travel bug early on. As a kid, I was mesmerized by the world beyond my doorstep, watching travel shows and dreaming of visiting breathtaking places. What started as a simple curiosity grew into a full-blown passion, pushing me to explore new cultures, step out of my comfort zone, and embrace the unknown. Even then, I had this deep-seated feeling that I wouldn’t stay in London forever. And while life did take me beyond its borders, London will always be home—its history, charm, and undeniable energy forever etched into my soul.

Growing up, my mother, a lover of history and culture, unknowingly shaped my curiosity about the world. She taught us (without even trying) how lucky we were to be surrounded by centuries of royal pageantry, historic landmarks, and grand museums. Of course, as kids, we didn’t always appreciate being dragged through endless exhibits—sometimes, I was downright bored. But looking back, those experiences sparked something in me. They made me crave more than just beautiful sights when I travel—I want to understand a place, its history, its soul. And when I visit a destination, I dive in with military precision (seriously, one of my daughter’s friends calls me “Sergeant” for a reason).

I can’t believe I didn’t start blogging sooner! Maybe I was unsure of what to write. Maybe I was afraid of putting myself out there. Or maybe I worried too much about what people would think of my writing. Probably all of the above—and then some. But guess what? I’m finally here, and I’m diving in headfirst.

So, what’s my goal with this blog? To give you real, firsthand experiences—not recycled content or secondhand stories. I won’t just mention Mt. Fuji because I glimpsed it from a speeding bullet train like so many influencers do. No, I’ll be at Mt. Fuji, exploring, soaking it all in—and sharing every honest detail with you. My reviews? They’ll be based on where I’ve actually stayed, the restaurants I’ve actually eaten at, and the places I’ve truly experienced. The good, the bad, and the unexpected—you’ll get it all.

This blog is for travelers who crave authenticity, just like I do. So, let’s go on this adventure together.

Travel with me.
